Gratitude is the tonic

I'm having a challenging week emotionally. More on that another time....For now, I'm going to take some of my own advice and focus on what I do have. Which is rather a lot to feel good and happy about.

My family have flown all the way from Australia to spend time with me in New York. Pictured here are my two nieces who really are the most adorable humans on the planet. Also my mother in the background. My sister and one of my cousins are both here too.  There is nothing like the unconditional love of your family (at least that's how I feel about my family). They really are my biggest fan club and can drag me out of anything.

Currently we are out at one of my favorite places on the planet - Montauk, Long Island, New York. I've rented a house with some friends for all of August and through to the end of Labor Day weekend. This means we are living life on the beach and eating out at fab restaurants every night. I've also been keeping active with running and yoga (Love Yoga).  My good stuff.

One of my best friends and fellow house mates is arriving tonight, so more awesome company is coming my way.  My puppy doggy Chilli is here too and she is having an absolute ball, mostly chasing rabbits. One of her best dog pals will be arriving with my friend tonight so that's going to cause a stir of the best kind as well.

My life is not always roses, in fact it's a long way from it. But even in the tougher times, I have so much to be thankful for. I am blessed. And like I said to my friend last week - this too shall pass. Everything does.
