Gate 37 Human Design
This Gate series synthesizes the wisdom of Human Design and the Gene Keys to support you in leveraging your energetic frequency in creating authentic and aligned marketing. When the Gate is stationed in the Human Design Transit chart in either the Sun or Mercury positions - both will create a background frequency of this energy that gives you insight into the types of messaging your ideal clients will respond to.

In Human Design, Gate 37 is called the ‘Friendship’ and is the gate of ‘Family’ in traditional iChing. It is the energy of peace, friendship and harmonious relationships. With keynote of Support, this is the most communal gate in the body graph. Gate 37 keeps the peace and harmony within a unit (community, family or individual) by maintaining balance in the masculine and feminine parts (yin & yang) of the unit. That’s called ‘Equality’ and is the gift of Gene key 37.
In my Cosmic Content Codes, I call gate 37, “Empowered Peace” which is a consciousness driven by the need for equal opportunity and wanting the best for all. With such drive, you champion the peace & equality in the family, the community and at large. This is also about empowering others to own their role in the group. 37th frequency is an expression of “community as family” and that;
“the sum of the parts is more significant than any individual.”
Gate 37 sits in the emotional solar plexus and people with 37 have this warm, friendly, nurturing aura. You demonstrate emotional generosity but at the same time are prone to being taken advantage of or getting burnt out by your empathetic nature. Being deeply sensitive to emotions, part of your process is to learn to handle your strong emotions in relationships. You need to build resilience and set boundaries to avoid burning out.
As a tribal/communal gate, 37 is a cohesive glue and a marker of mutual support in a community setting. People with 37 make others feel supported and held with their warmth and empathy. This often comes through touch and food.
Being part of the channel of Bargain (37-40), gate 37 highlights the importance of communication. What that means is, ‘equality’ may need some bargaining or exchange of sorts at some point, but the other party involved might not be fully aware of this. Hence the quality of communication is key.
The shadow of gate 37 weakness
The shadow of this gene key - weakness, is the imbalance of the yin and yang poles of a society, family or an individual. It can manifest either as being overly sentimental (over-giving) or being totally cruel toward the overly-sentimental and taking advantage of them. All this is rooted in fear and getting addicted to your swinging emotional states. The weakness stems from succumbing to the victim inside.
Gift of this gate, Equality, is a living ideal that lifts people out of the victim state. It is about believing that weakness is an opportunity for growth and strength and not a dark pit or fate. This revives your life force and the drive to meet life half way. The weakest part of yourself or the family is no more a dead end or a ‘broken link’ but instead a potent place for higher harmony and growth. Focusing love on this one area of ‘weakness’ can bring whole self, relationship or the community into harmony.
The shift from shadow to gift happens when tenderness in the heart is achieved through harmony between all the parts of group/family/ Self (think Internal Family Systems or Parts work). This brings stability, health and vitality to the whole unit/system.
WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A GATE 37 BRAND
If you have Gate 37 in your Personality Sun (or Mercury), you are a brand driven by a desire for peace and equality. You believe that the health of any group depends on the quality of communication and restoration of the natural equality between genders and societal roles.
Yours is a passionate and emotional tale of separation and coming together. Your brand is the expression of community as family and you strive for building a cohesive support system. The depth of reverence for fairness, equality and a peaceful planet is your brand’s signature.
When it comes to positioning your offers, make sure you own your empowering role in the community. Share the value of your community and/or family. Celebrate gatherings, power of touch and food as marker of the support and healing within community. That’s your brand essence. That’s the magnet that draws people toward you. Own it and celebrate the power of ‘inviting others and holding space’ as your business’s mission.
HOW THE BACKGROUND FREQUENCY OF GATE 37 IMPACTS THE POTENTIAL FOR YOUR MARKETING RESONANCE
No matter the niche you’re in, as a coach, healer, network, or digital marketer, your clients/customers are looking for help. They especially need help when they feel weak, isolated or not supported at all in life or business. They might feel stumped in their need for creating and communicating clear boundaries.
When the Sun (or Mercury) is in Gate 37, share stories of the celebration of the community (and that may be the audience/followers). Share heartfelt, passionate stories of a desire for peace. Talk loving boundaries and that these are for everyone’s good. Demonstrate the importance of equality sometimes even through self-effacing, eg "I'm not special, you can have what I have too".
