Bark collars, boozing and Byron Bay

After almost a week in a tent, I couldn’t have been more excited to have booked what looked totally luxe like (thanks airbnb) next.

The plan was a month near Byron Bay….the reality, around 40 minutes away in Mullumbimby Creek (which I was about to discover is on the farrrrr side of Mullumbimby).

Did I tell you yet that accomodation options are limited when travelling with best friend (dog style)? Please expect me to remind you in very single post :).

3 short months & a lifetime ago, we headed North out of Sydney

I was nervous and excited about what lay ahead of us…..ok more excited than nervous. I’ve never been much a winter lover after all!

Also sure, that living as a digital nomad (with a dog & at 50!), would be something I would love sharing along the way…..so why not write a blog.

I even got started a couple of months earlier, when I’d taken the first step that was moving out of my home and listing it on airbnb and starting the nomad thing. See last 4 posts.

Had a fight with a lawn mower #DN@FF

Let me reframe that. My lawn mower had a fight with the water meter.

Here’s the thing about mission nomad, expecting the unexpected is definitely part of the journey.

I’ve never EVER mowed a lawn my entire life. BUT, when chatting to the fam bam, who co own the house I’m residing in, I got the brief: while you’re there, you have to do some jobs! And one of them was mow the lawn.

I even had to watch a YouTube video to learn how!

To be fair, I’m only 49 and 11 months (exactly today) but why let that get in the way of a good headline?!

Hello friends. Helllooooooo friends!

Today is the day! The exact day (March 21, 2021) a new chapter of our life begins.

Yes, my love and I have hit the road and we’re officially coming to you from no fixed address.

This dream made reality has been many, many years in the making.
