In Human Design, Gate 14 is the gate of power skills, also called affluence in the i-Ching and bounteousness in the Gene keys. As a Cosmic Content Codes, I call it “Resource Rich” because this gate brings the frequency of abundance when one’s fully aligned to their soul’s purpose.
Here’s what I mean by that: Gate 14’s energy is knowing how to turn your gifts, talents and skills into prosperity. And having confidence that resources flow when all is aligned with your soul’s purpose and for the highest good.
If you have gate 14 in your Personality Sun, you are likely known for your confidence, resourcefulness and skillfulness. You are among the leading who adapt fast and are masters of leveraging tools and skills for greater returns.
You radiate the belief that “doing the work you love” is the ultimate source of abundance and fulfillment in life.
You’re here to transform the consciousness of “lack” and poverty, by doing the work you love and inspiring others to do the same.
Inversely, when in the lower frequency of gate 14, the energy feels a bit constrictive - and that’s where the lack comes in. Especially when we are operating out of “compromise” and dimming our light either for others or to keep ourselves feeling “state”. Compromise is the shadow of this gate.
As “Ra Uru Hu” names it, compromise can turn humans into “furniture”.
And that is the prevalent norm in our world unfortunately. To mould the self, to be the good child and a non-disruptor. To be in the background. Just as furniture is.
As a gate 14 “personal brand”, you’re here to break the norm, to disrupt, and turn available skill into power and riches for humanity’s highest good!
You’re here to work in sync with the belief that alignment can’t be compromised.
A personal experience of gate 14 energy in my chart
I have gate 14 in my design Mars which dictates our sense of direction and drive in life. This is known as my vocation in Gene keys with the shadow representing my Core wound and the thing most likely to prevent me achieving prosperity.
I was confronted with this shadow in my early twenties, when I had the realisation that I was shaping myself to “fit in” with others expectations.
At the time, I was living a fairytale-like life with my then-partner of five years and the love of my life. I felt sure that he was my future and we’d go on to build a life and family together.
This lovely vision came crashing down in the most surprising of ways.
At that time, my career was starting to boom. Eager for expansion and growth both in my life & career, and to better prepare myself for the future, I met with a clairvoyant (all the woo from way back!).
This appointment changed my life and not at all in the way I was expecting it to. She shared to my utter disbelief - that the relationship I was in was suffocating and that my partner was controlling me.
This was almost three decades ago now, but I still remember leaving her apartment, crossing the road and sitting in my Daihatsu Feroza (black with a soft top!), sobbing my eyes out.
The biggest heartbreak of all was the complete knowing that I’d been pushing this reality down and in conversation it found it’s way into my conscious awareness at speed…
I clung to the relationship for almost a year after that, trying to make it worth, but once that genie was out of the bottle, no matter how I hard I tried, I couldn’t force it back in.
Gate 14 and Your marketing potential
And this is precisely what happens, when you’re so driven by being liked, loved or simply avoiding the confrontation of what is for your highest good (and potential).
Which brings me to how this background frequency operates and the potential for your marketing resonance.
No matter the niche you’re in, as a coach, healer, network or affiliate marketer, your clients/customers are looking for help. They need help, often times because they self sabotage, have poor boundaries or compromise their integrity instead of saying YES to the thing that will is in alignment with what they truly want.
When 14 is in the Sun (or Mercury) transit, share stories of your own experience with compromise OR offer advice on how to overcome it, you’re going to achieve huge cut through and engagement!
