Another year wiser?

I had a birthday this week. I'm not telling you how old I turned. Why? Because a couple of weeks ago I saw Christiane Northrup MD speak at her book launch (her book being Goddesses Never Age) and she said never to tell anyone how old you are. So I can't.

But, but, but...... the thing to know about me, is that as well as being very easily influenced (by the likes of Christiane) I'm also an open book.  Which means I'm left torn between telling you how old I turned AND trying to be a Goddess that Never ages. Dilema!

Special friends and food

Confession. I've never been much of a cook. There have been short bursts of kitchen related activity (like back when I was living with an exboyfriend or two). But I've never cooked just for me, despite having lived on my own for some 10 years or so. Up until recently that is.

Union Square, Darrows and Health Coaching

Darrows is badged as a 'Farm Fresh Takeout'. I thoroughly love this concept and was excited to try it over the weekend. I was also excited to meet with the fellow health coach student who is to be my accountability coach. She suggested Darrows mentioning in that it has a restaurant area as well.

Costa Rica and falling in love....with yoga

I’ve been trying to remember how long I’ve been practicing yoga and it’s not 100% clear. What I do know for sure is this. When I was around 27, I experienced debilitating anxiety.  In my quest to help myself through this period I took up ashtanga yoga. For many months, I attended class at least twice a week. I enjoyed it, but didn’t love the repetitive nature.
