gratitude

Remember how I suggested picking your best 10 pictures from 2015?

Well the truth is, I tried and it was impossible. Thoroughly impossible. Instead, I ended up using Pic stich on my iPhone to participate in the #NestNine2015. Only I didn't pick my best nine....rather I picked 18 awesome moments and 18 stunning scenes.

Did you try and attempt this challenge too? Did you fail like I did?  OK, fail is the wrong word, for me this project was a huge win as it reminded me just how fabulous my life is.  For that I am grateful.

How to get your happy on

We all have those days, weeks and sometimes even months. Whether you’ve recently been through something traumatic, it’s a hormone issue or you are just in a funk. I’m talking about times in your life when bounding out of bed with a smile on your face feels as achievable as walking on the moon.  (Note - if you are possibly clinically depressed don’t read this, go to the Doctor).

Gratitude is the tonic

I'm having a challenging time emotionally right now. More on that another time....For now, I'm going to take some of my own advice and focus on what I do have. Which is rather a lot to feel good and happy about.

My family have flown all the way from Australia to spend time with me in New York. Pictured here are my two nieces who really are the most adorable humans on the planet. Also my mother in the background. My sister and one of my cousins are both here too.  There is nothing like the unconditional love of your family (at least that's how I feel about my family). They really are my biggest fan club and can drag me out of anything.
